RYAN Devlin continued his fine goalscoring run as Aberystwyth University leaped up to mid-table in the Spar Mid Wales League division two with a 5-3 victory over leaders Kerry.

In one of only two games to survive the wet weather in the division, the students secured their fifth win in seven league outings as Devlin added two more goals to his tally.

They made a flying start, scoring three times in the first 20 minutes to take charge, the first coming when a free kick from captain Mathew Hunton was flicked in by Liam Powell.

Devlin then struck twice to extend the lead with a couple of neat finishes, before a shellshocked Kerry revived their hopes by puling one back through Adam Pugh before the break.
