MIDFIELDER Glenn Rule has become the latest summer signing for ambitious Bala Town, after leaving relegated Airbus UK Broughton after last season.
He becomes Colin Caton’s latest new signing at Maes Tegid, following the recent arrivals of Les Davies, Eddie Toner, Andrai Jones and Evan Horwood.
“Glenn has become Town’s fifth summer signing of the summer transfer window,” confirmed a club statement.
“A midfielder who can also play as a full back, Glenn is strong on the ball, has plenty of experience within the Welsh Premier League and is a very useful addition to the Town squad.
“He will wear the number 17 shirt for the Lakesiders next season.”
A product of the youth academy at Chester City, he made some 28 first team appearances after making his debut as a substitute against Carlisle United in 2007. As a 17-year old, Rule also had a brief spell at Colwyn Bay before joining Stalybridge Celtic for 2010/11.
He moved to Airbus in May 2011, and spent four years with the Wingmakers, before being signed by Stockport County in June 2015, but he then returned to Broughton in the January 2017 transfer window.
The 27-year-old has scored 12 goals from his 99 (+16) Welsh Premier appearances.
