HALF TIME
Pushing for a coveted seventh spot currently held by tonight’s hosts, Aber started brightly creating the first opening on three minutes.
It was the same combo that produced Friday night’s goal against Newtown, Matty Jones’ corner met by the head of Marc Williams but it was a comfortable stop for keeper Wojciech Gajda.
At the other end, his opposite number Alex Pennock was called into action to smother a dangerous through ball inside the area.
Pennock was making his sixth start of the season with Jamie Veale returning from suspension to reclaim his spot in midfield, ahead of Owain Jones.
The Seasiders threatened again on 17 minutes, beautiful football down the left from Harry Franklin and Marc Williams teeing up Jamie Veale but his curling shot sailed narrowly over the bar.
The best chance of the half fell to Haverfordwest on 22 minutes, Cameron Keetch lashing a shot across the face of goal but narrowly wide
And the same man went close again five minutes later but was again wide of the mark.
Pennock was commanding his area well and collected a dangerous cross from Dan Summerfield superbly down low.
An end-to-end half came to a close with both defences on top and little in the way of clear goal scoring opportunities.
