BALA Town boss Colin Caton expects a massive test when they travel to take on unbeaten Dafabet Welsh Premier League leaders The New Saints at Park Hall on Friday night (ko 7.45pm).

In the reverse fixture, the two sides battled out a goalless draw at Maes Tegid in September, but Caton will be aware that in 17 matches against the full-time outfit, Bala have never won.

On Tuesday evening, third-placed Bala were pegged back to a 1-1 draw at Bangor City, whilst the Saints shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at home to Aberystwyth in their last outing last Friday.

Bala’s Mark Connolly is ruled out with a groin injury, whilst Ryan Valentine will likely miss Friday’s match.
