NEFYN United and Pwllheli both suffered narrow defeats in their second Lock Stock Ardal North West outings on Saturday after opening their campaigns with victories in midweek.

Nefyn made a strong start at Penmaenmawr Phenix with first half goals by Zac Pike and Tomi Evans.

The Cae Sling host hit back through Matthew Robinson and Logan Williams to draw level but the Penwaig nudged ahead again on 54 minutes, Pike with his second of the afternoon.

However, the newly-promoted side were denied the points as Anthony Marshall struck twice in the space of three minutes to complete a dramatic comeback and hand Penmaenmawr a 4-3 victory.

Pwllheli lost by the odd goal in five at Kinmel Bay. They also made a bright start with goals by Dafydd Roberts and Osian Thomas either side of the break but the hosts took the game away from them with late goals by Matthew Rees, Liam Jones and Paris Gray.
