After a goalless first half, George Sutherns and Shane Jones both went close for Barmouth - but it took a great save from Jamie Jones to keep them on level terms.
Both teams pushed for a winner, and following an ugly fracas in the Barmouth box, keeper Jones and a Pwllheli player were both sent off for violent conduct, and a penalty was awarded.
Joey Jones went in goal for the penalty, and managed to get his finger tips to Smith’s spot kick, but was unable to prevent it hitting the net.
The last few minutes of the match saw Richard Darlison, George Sutherns and Shane Jones all go close for the visitors, but Pwllheli held firm to claim victory.
Penrhyndeudraeth shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw away at Llanrug United, where Richard Jones’ 74th minute equaliser earned a deserved share of the spoils.
The only goal of the first half was scored by United’s midfielder David Noel Williams from five yards out, following a good passing move down the left flank.
Jones found space and time at the far post to fire Penrhyn’s leveller in the second half, but Llanrug almost won it in the final minute when a powerful header at the far post by striker Alan Mark Owen came off the post, and the rebound was then scuffed by Dewi Clark.
Conwy Borough meanwhile lost their 100 per cent record, despite fighting back from two-down to draw 2-2 with Llandyrnog United.
Billy Holmes and Stuart Vernon handed the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead, but Conwy hit back through Tom Smith and Corrig McGonigle to return to the top on goal difference.
Llanrwst United left it late to secure the points as a last minute winner from Aron Hughes sealed a 1-0 home win against St Asaph City.
Elsewhere Rob Daniels scored a 75th minute winner as Llanberis won 1-0 away at Nantlle Vale, whilst goals from Dillon Roberts, Keenan Downey and Anthony Parry earned Trearddur Bay United a 3-2 win away at Mynydd Llandegai, who had scored through Alwyn Roberts and Craig Whelan, from the penalty spot.
