PENRHYNCOCH returned to the top of the Spar Mid Wales League division one in fine style after sweeping aside one of their chief rivals Llanrhaeadr 4-2 at Cae Baker.

With previous leaders Welshpool drawing 1-1 at Llanidloes Town, the Roosters are now sitting pretty at the summit on goal difference - and with four games in hand on Pool. Victory also saw them move four points clear of Llanrhaeadr as three goals in the first 18 minutes stunned a side that had arrived on the back of a good run of form themselves.
