PWLLHELI staged an amazing comeback as they hit back from being three goals down with only five minutes left, to share the Welsh Alliance points in a 3-3 draw with Llanrwst United.
Substitute Aaron Jones-Evans used his head close in to snatch the equaliser four minutes into added time, after Pwllheli were 2-0 down at half-time.
With 22 minutes gone, Ryan Watson had swept a low 18 yard shot past stand-in 17 year-old keeper Kieran Roberts, and on 43 minutes Kyle Luffman beat the offside and lobbed the home keeper from the edge of the box.
In the second half, Pwllheli’s Tomos Jones tested the Roosters’ Nidian Jones with a rasping shot, but the home team went 3-0 down on 52 minutes, when Luke Roberts unleashed a rocket shot into a top corner of the net.
On 65 minutes, however, Llanrwst’s Chris Nicholson was sent off by referee Steve Jones for his part in a brief fracas, after Pwllheli’s Mark Jones was fouled in the penalty box. Carl Jones then fired against the post, after which John Gwynfor Jones found the bar.
In the 85th minute, however, Marek Kopak scored, after initial efforts by Carl Jones and Tomos Jones had been blocked, and then three minutes later Tomos Jones crossed for Gwyn Williams to score his side’s second goal.
Pwllheli’s stirring comeback was completed when Aaron Jones-Evans headed home a dramatic equaliser.
