Aberystwyth Town Football Club has secured a UEFA licence for the coming season.

The Seasiders have been awarded UEFA European and Tier One Domestic Licences for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

The Domestic, or Tier 1 Licence, is a prerequisite for admittance into the JD Welsh Premier League in 2020/21, while the UEFA Licence is needed by clubs who have qualified for European competitions.

Club licensing officer Thomas Crockett said: "Achieving these licences represents a great achievement for any volunteer-run football club and I would like to publicly acknowledge the hard work of Tony Bates, David Evans, Gavin Allen, Dr Dafydd Edwards, Megan Meredith and Jimmy Edwards in particular for their significant contributions to the process this season."

Aberystwyth Town Football Club therefore retains its unique and proud record of achieving both licences at the first attempt on every single occasion since the FAW introduced the licensing process in 2004/5.
