TYWYN/BRYNCRUG marched on into the fourth round of the Central Wales Senior Challenge Cup as they registered an emphatic 6-0 win in their previously postponed tie against Spar Mid Wales League division two outfit Hay St Mary’s.
Goals from Nick Williams, Aston Heath, Ryan Goddard, Aled Jones, with a brace, and an own goal capped a solid performance from the Meirionnydd side.
They will face division one side Knighton Town in the last 16 of the competition, after doubles by Connor Bird and Gareth Mansell earned the Radnor Robins a 4-1 win against Berriew, with Marc Jones replying.
Bow Street also marched on into the last 16 with an excellent 2-1 win at Carno, to set up a fourth round tie against Newcastle Emlyn.
Llion Rhys Jenkins opened the scoring for the Magpies, but Andy Evans replied, before Rhun Garner snatched an injury time winner.
New Quay crashed out with an emphatic 14-0 defeat against Churchstoke, with Joe Haycock netting seven goals, Andrew Green four, Matt Perry two and Kieran Mulloch one, to set up a tie against Builth Wells.
Dyffryn Banw are also though after they notched an exciting 5-4 extra time win over Brecon Northcote, to set up a last 16 tie away against Waterloo Rovers.
