TYWYN/BRYNCRUG Reserves clinched the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division two title on Wednesday night as they made it nine wins from nine with a dominant 7-1 win over Padarn Reserves.Tywyn, who face division one side Bow Street Reserves in the final of the Len and Julia Newman Memorial Trophy next Friday, 25 May at Park Avenue, were convincing winners.Aled Jones fired a hat-trick, along with two goals from Ben Holt and singles by Ethan Rodgers and Cullen Rodgers, as Tywyn stayed five points clear of Penparcau, with just one league match to go. Matt Higgs replied for Padarn.Penparcau meanwhile kept pace with a 4-0 win over Llanon in midweek, courtesy of a Jake Bush hat-trick and a James Strong goal, whilst goals from Aled Rumble, Murray Pugh, Lewis Tomlins and Mikey Winter-Bruce earned Llanilar Reserves a 4-2 win over visitors Aberdyfi. Luke Fox and Liam Fox replied.The free-scoring Ben Holt had scored a staggering 13 goals in three matches to take Tywyn/Bryncrug Reserves to within one win of claiming the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League division two title.On Monday evening, they emphatically registered an eighth successive league win with 9-1 win at Llanilar Reserves, with Ben Holt scoring another hat-trick.

Mark Edmondson also netted a treble for Tywyn, along with goals from Aled Jones, Ryan Goddard and Ben Richards.

Last weekend, Tywyn/Bryncrug Reserves had hammered title rivals Penparcau 9-2, with the prolific marksman Ben Holt this time scoring four goals for the visitors.

There was also a hat-trick by Luke Rickard and singles by Cullen Rodgers and Tim Holt as Tywyn kept their perfect record in the league this season.

Dylan Bailey, from the penalty spot, and Warren Sedgwick replied for Penparcau.

Holt had added six goals to his remarkable individual tally last Thursday as Tywyn beat Llanilar Reserves 7-1, with Luke Rickard also finding the net for the hosts.

Penparcau had beaten Padarn United Reserves 4-0 in their midweek clash, with goals from Rhys Davies, Jake Bush, Chris Wylde and Lee Morgan, from the penalty spot, earning the home side the spoils.

Talybont signed off their campaign in the Cambran Tyres Aberystwyth League District League division one with a positive 2-1 win over Llanilar last weekend.

Goals from Osian Thomas and Sam Penfold ensured that they finished level on points with their opponents, who had scored their goal through Murray Pugh.

Meanwhile Machynlleth Reserves had a 2-2 draw with third-placed Tregaron, with goals from Drew Page and a late worldie by Steve Davies. Liam Nelson and Carwyn James netted for Tregaron.

Padarn United breezed to a 7-1 win against Aberystwyth University Reserves, with Paul James scoring his second hat-trick in a week. Rich Williams scored a brace, with Robbie Southgate and Graham Thomas getting on the scoresheet.

Calum Simons caught the keeper off his line from around 45 yards to score a consolation for the University, who have had to cram in three games in just five days.

Jamie Stuart had scored four goals as Aberystwyth University Reserves notched back-to-back midweek wins with a solid 5-1 win at Borth Reserves on Thursday night, with Simon Sauzier also scoring.

On Tuesday evening, Aberystwyth University Reserves had also won 4-1 at Llanilar, courtesy of a hat-trick by Jamie Stuart and a Aled Thomas goal, with Tom Constantine replying for the home team.

After back-to-back defeats, Padarn had registered a hard fought 4-3 victory over Tregaron Turfs, courtesy of a Paul James hat-trick and a single goal by Matt Savage.

Ifan Jones, Caradog Daniel and Llyr Davies netted for third-placed Tregaron.
