Past captain Jeff Evans has succeeded to raise £1,879 for his chosen charity Prostrate Cancer during his year as captain.
This is a remarkable achievement and Jeff wishes to thank all the members at Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club for their kind donations to this worthy cause.
The men’s Turkey Trail was played on 14 November and the winner was Richard Wyn Jones on the back nine from Martin Harries. Closely behind in third place was Colin Willimas.
Turkey Trail 4 was played on 21 November and the winner was Richard Lucas with a nett 66 ahead of David Worrall with a nett 67 who beat Michael Roberts on the back nine.
Ladies’ section
A stableford competition was won by Ruth Morris with 34 points ahead of Kay Thomas with 33 points and Margaret Roberts with 31 points. A follow-up stableford competition was again won by Ruth Morris with a creditable score of 37 points with Ruth Jones second with 34 points and Jean Harrison third with 32 points.
The two ball Texas Scramble was won by Lynda Evans and Angharad Basnett with Juliet Jones and Debbie Jones the runners up.
