BALA made it six wins from eight games in Division One North this season, although they were made to battle all the way by visiting Cobra, who earned themselves a bonus point, but continue to prop up the league table.
Bala adapted to the testing conditions better early on and went ahead with full-back Chris Roberts crossing for the first try of the game.
The hosts increased their lead with a second unconverted try from centre Owain Aled, but Llew Williams reduced the arrears for the visiting side with a penalty.
Bala kept their compusre and further pressure was rewarded when flanker Clwyd Edwards went over, and the extras were added by outside half by Rhydian Jones.
Cobra, however, refused to surrender and a fine break on the wing from Harry Jukes led to possession being recycled to the path of second row Lloyd Bright who crashed over for a try, for Williams to then convert.
The visitors laid siege to home line in the remaining few minutes, but had to be content with a losing bonus point as Bala’s defence held.
