Having taken his first sprint win of the tour, on Stage Four of the Tour of Britain racing into Borth, local rider Gruff Lewis is still part of a breakaway group.

The pacesetters have just raced through Machynlleth with the peloton starting to make their move to close the gap which was nine minutes at one point.

Starting in Aberaeron at 10.30am, the stage sees the cyclists take on spectacular scenery as they head 130 miles north, finishing later that day atop the Great Orme in Llandudno.

Representing team Ribble-Weldtite, pro cyclist Lewis, owner of Caffi Gruff in Talybont, led the group through Aberystwyth earlier today to huge roars from the crowd.
