BOW Street Reserves remain unbeaten at the top of the FAW Reserves Central table after a hard fought encounter against Dolgellau Reserves on Sunday in what was the second game in two days at Cae Piod during a weekend when countless games were called off because of the weather.
The visitors were dealt a blow when the were reduced to 10 men when Rhys Jones was shown a second yellow on 24 minutes and they fell behind to a Shaun Wyn Jones penalty moments later.
Richard Rickets doubled the Magpies advantage on 28 minutes with Rhys Hughes sealing the win with a quarter of an hour to go.
Dol were still competitive though even after being reduced to nine men when Michael McManus was handed a second caution on 76 minutes.
Dolgellau manager David Roberts said: “Tough result today at top of the table Bow Street as none of the goals we conceded came from open play, conceding from a penalty, free kick and directly from a corner.
“We were probably the better side until the penalty and it would have been easy to give in after going down to nine men later in the game but we looked dangerous today and created more that we have in the last few games."
