LAMPETER Town lifted themselves to the top of the Costcutter Ceredigion League division one on Tuesday evening as they registered yet another emphatic victory.
Luke Lovell and Gethin Hunter both scored twice, with Mark Rivers, Jason Jones and Robert Slawkowski also finding the net for a dominant Lampeter on Tuesday.
Llandysul meanwhile won 5-1 on Tuesday night at New Quay, with Ian Barrett and Scott Thomas both scoring twice, along with a Ben Thomas goal. Craig Richardson netted for New Quay.
Cardigan followed up their 5-0 win over Aberaeron Reserved in midweek with a a 2-0 win over Llandysul on Thursday, with goals from Liam Doherty and John Lumb.
On Wednesday, Newcastle Emlyn had to settle for a goalless draw against Crannog, whilst St Dogmaels beat Pencader 4-0.
The lead at the top of the division one had changed again last weekend when Newcastle Emlyn slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Llandysul, with Ben Thomas netting the winner for the Swallows.
Bargod Rangers inflicted a heavy 11-3 defeat on St Dogmaels at Parc Puw as Robbie Jenkins helped himself to a double hat-trick. Sam Skinner added a brace, and there were further goals for Oliver Evans, Owain Thomas and Dion Phillips.
Cardigan Town breezed to a 9-1 win over New Quay last weekend, with John Lumb and Liam Dohery both netting twice.
Iestyn Evans, Ewan Jones, Slawomir Waleczek, Tomos Toft and Tom Gardener also scored, whilst Dave Evans replied for the Seasiders.
Lampeter were too strong for Pencader as they ran out 7-0 winners, with Gethin Hunter grabbing five goals.
Luke Hunter and Joe Jenkins also scored to keep the North Road side just a point off leaders Bargod, but with a game in hand.
The game between Aberaeron Reserves and Crannog ended in a 2-2 draw, with Jodie Costello poaching a brace for the home team, whilst Crannog scored goals through Ben May and George Colven.
Last midweek, Lampeter had notched up a 9-0 demolition of St Dogmaels, with Luke Lovell netting four goals.
There were also singles from Marc Evans, Gethin Davies, Gareth Young, Gethin Hunter and Terry Witts, from the penalty spot.
Cardigan Town kept on course for a late tilt at the title as they accounted for Aberporth by 3-1 at the RAE ground.
Two goals from Liam Doherty and one from flying winger Slawomir Waleczek sealed the win. Reece Prowse grabbed a consolation goal for the hosts.
Two days earlier goals from Joost Burki and John Lumb had earned Cardigan a 2-2 draw with Newcastle Emlyn, who netted via Dion Davies and Huw Jones.
Bargod lost ground lastWednesday as they lost 3-2 at Llandysul, despite goals from Rhydian Davies and Dion Phillips. Two goals from Dean Jones and a Simon Davies effort earned the Swallows the points.
Rhydian Roberts meanwhile scored a hat-trick as Crannog hammered New Quay 6-0, with further goals from George Colven, Chris Welch and Mike Glover.
