PWLLHELI cruised into the next round of the FAW Welsh Cup with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Rhuddlan Town on Saturday.

The Ardal North West side dominated from start to finish against their North Wales Coast East Division One hosts at Pengwern College, although they had to wait until five minutes before half-time to make the breakthrough.

Josua Jones opened the scoring with a clinical finish past Liam Curzon before turning provider moments later, setting up 17-year-old Osian Thomas to double Pwllheli's advantage.

The visitors ran riot after the interval as the goals flowed freely. Deio Williams made it 3-0 on 59 minutes before Cian Pritchard added a fourth soon afterwards.

Thomas then took centre stage, scoring twice in the space of three minutes to complete an excellent hat-trick and put the tie beyond doubt.

Sion Williams adding a seventh before Deio Williams grabbed his second goal of the afternoon to complete a ruthless and impressive cup display.
